Dri-Gas Still Required?
We're having a cold snap here and my car gave me a little heartburn last night for a few seconds, and I wondered if I had some ice in the fuel line...then I wondered, with the mandated ethanol content in today's fuels, do we still need to worry about gas line anti-freeze? I know ethanol doesn't have the water affinity that methanol or isopropanol does, but it seems like it should do something.
It also occurred to me that maybe all of us in the NYC area here have more water in our tanks than normal, since we had the hurricane/power outage/gas shortage, the stations were pumping the tanks dry rather than refilling them at the normal intervals.
(My apologies if some of you are unfamiliar with water and fuel tanks, or if this issue has been resolved at the gas station level by some newer technology that my old brain is unaware of.)

Not really needed if the gas you use has E-10, the ethanol kind of takes the place of the dri-gas products like ISO-HEET.
Look on the Bob Is the Oil Guy forums.
