Do you remember your first post ever?

The question was asked in another thread, "when was the last time you used a chamois?" I really had to think about it because it was shortly before I made my first post ever to a detailing discussion forum. This led me to do a short investigation into my own posting history. I went to the site that I first ever posted to, which at the time was DetailCity.org.

Detail City has since been purchased by PBMA and is now autopiaforums.com. It sincerely feels like about 7 years ago since I knew absolutely nothing about true auto detailing. To my surprise, when I did search out my very first post to any detailing discussion forum it was exactly 4 years and 15 days ago. I figured since PBMA owns autopiaforums now and it's not technically a competitors website, for fun I'd link it to this thread.

In the spirit of journaling I think one can realy realize the growth or the strides they have made by going back and reading the first few postings you've made to these forums.

If it's not in violation of the rules here at AGO, seek out your very first posting ever in a detailing discussion forum and link it to this thread. So that would be autogeekonline.net or the old detailcity or now autopiaforums.com

This might be fun and should make the seasoned pros a little more humble and also allow the newcomers and lurkers to feel a little more comfortable about asking questions.

It was my third time machine polishing and I think I tried a test spot with some really fine polish on a orange pad. Being I was attempting this on Corvette paint, it did pretty much nothing.

Funny thing is, I just started to detail the same car again. Getting it all polished up for Corvette's at Carlisle later this week. Now that I have a lot more time under my belt machine polishing, I can remove most of the defects I want.

Looking forward to others first posts.
