Re: What is Ford Thinking!? (New Mustang spy photos)
Even though I love the IRS in my 03 Cobra it took a lot of money and effort to make it reliable.
As it came from the factory all the bushings were soft rubber to make the NVH tolerable. So naturally if you got any wheelspin it would hop uncontrollably, usually breaking a halfshaft.
I replaced every piece of rubber in it with a kit from "FullTiltBoogie racing"
The Finest IRS Delrin Bushing Kit
After installing the kit I can now do a clutch drop with slicks at 5K and not break a half-shaft.
I sure hope Ford does a decent job on the new IRS.

Re: What is Ford Thinking!? (New Mustang spy photos)
I had a 66 GT 4sp in 1970, a new 98 Cobra, 01 GT, 03 GT, 07 GT, Blue 1 Black. Last 4 were 5 speeds. Now I have a 2001 SLK 230 Benz w/ 5800 original miles on it. I think I'd wait till 2020 and then see if the design is any better. I used a DA Porter Cable on the Benz and all WG products on it and got it better looking than new. 21.5 city 33 Hwy.
