I'm going to be picking up a v1 soon. I would REALLY want a k40, but that costs like 1500 installed. Its cool though!

the v1 is ugly, it looks like a cinderblock hanging from the windshield. and besides that, its obsolete. the performance is not on par with the X50, which is still the older Escort model, for the have a new one.. ie. the 9500i. why would you waste money on a detector that is 3rd string?

With all the speed traps in FL, it tells you exactly where the cops are, the arrows are worth the price, I'll put up witha few extra falsies for that, plus the falsies are easy to know, it will only blip a dot or two. Plus look at my previous post, any other radar detector and I would have been pulled over thinking it was still detecting the cop behind me.

We've had Passports/Escorts etc, nothing bad about them, but theres a reason all 6 our vehicles have a V1. And we still run with Viper and Porsche Clubs, very few members have other makes from Passport to K40, almost everyone has a V1.

i cruise on the hwy at 70-85 all the time. Cops cant hide on the interstates here in fla tho, you can see them trapping a mile away.

they way i see it... whether they are in front of you or to your left, youre gonn ahve to slow down, and that is the only feature that Valentine has over Escort. Beside, if the cop is behingd you shooting forward, itll reflect off signs giving the v1 a false to the front.

    GPS pwns direction indicators, IMO.
