I think there was some other thread about dashcams a while back where I mentioned to check Techmoan on YouTube...he's definitely the authority when it comes to exploring dashcams as opposed to making a quick buy on a regular camera.
He links to his website where he provides links and buying help there as well..
Agreed! Definitely one of my favorite youtube channels.
I have a pair coming from eBay. Going back for a few cert classes at a near by college. You know how campus parking lots can be. If anything I would like to know/see should something happens.

Nice! Parking lots are always a place where these cams come in handy..sometimes you never know who sent a stray shopping cart or door dinged or did anything else while you were away from the lot.
At the very least they offer a sense of security..
Upgraded my dvr to Blackvue DR550 GW-2ch. Now it records from both front and back.
I also have it hooked up to a 10,000mAh battery pack to keep recording when I'm away from the car.

That is the same setup I have. It is great that it records front and back and I have it hardwired to my car battery for 24h surveillance when my car is out of the garage.

I was worried about the dvr eating my car battery on extended surveillance, so its on a completely seperate battery pack.
