    Just wondering...

What do random production car wash laborers make per hour?

    Anyone have an idea?

They first one was on a navigator. They guy had tree sap on his car that when I washed it the first time I told him about but he said next time. Well he took it to this car wash and he asked them if they could get it off. They took out a stiff brush and started on the fender then went to the hood. The guy stopped because he saw what he was doing. Another guy came over and said oh yea that just looks like its scratched because its wet! HAHA!

When I got out there it looked like the guy wet sanded the entire fender and there were super deep scratches on the hood! They said they would give him a few free car washes.

The other was a cousin from down at church. She had me come out to do the interior and she said the guy from the car was stepped on her leather seat, stained it and couldn't get it off. I got it off but I couldn't get the 2 year old coffee stains out for the life of me!!

Before taking on (hiring) any employees for "random" work....
The easiest way to find out what their wage should/can be is:

1.) Go to: The U.S. Department of Labor Home Page
2.) Once there click on: Wages.
3.) Once there click on: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
4.) Once there click on: Applicable Laws and Regulations.

The Federal Minimum Wage Act will increase the minimum wage in many States come 01.01.2012.
Florida's state laws governing payment of wages (Wage and Hour Division) usually are not in conflict with any Federal laws/regulations.

    A couple of good reads:

When in doubt...Contacting an attorney that's familiar with Federal and State Labor Laws would be advisable, IMO. That's a good way to also keep the IRS, as well as, money-grubbing, disgruntled employees and their attorneys at bay.
