My wash process on a Tahoe is rinse first,cannon the whole truck wash with a eggcrate sponge clean barrels of wheels air purge as I dry.Then spraywax the entire truck,coat wheel wells and tires all glass done vac inside clean the wood on the inside condition seats and remove any standout stains,then I collinite front bumper and mirrors then condition running boards etc and I get 60 for that for a hour and 15 mi .I have to have a 2 car minimum ,I only have 5 maintenance cars those are the people quality minded that you have to get.

Of course not,there trying to take advantage of you,I'm not being mean but you your self created that promblem.To stay in the game and feed yourself or family I would abort that service for so little money and start all over again it's gonna suck but it will payoff from a year or two from now best of luck.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again:

Who care's what your base price is? Mcdonalds sells burgers for $1. Yea they get people coming in for that $1 burger, but 99% usually leave with a coke and some fries and maybe an apple pie. If any of you had even a shred of salesmanship in you, it would't matter what your starting rates were because you could just upsell additional services that are more profitable.

My point = Learn how to sell!

Just my thoughts on renting a garage at $1200.00 a month but doing $10.00 hand washing

I've been doing this for years and payed my dues.at 1200 a month base rent ,factor in chemicals insurance 2 employees which you will need plus yourself to pump out dealer work ,and all the rain days you will encounter transport plate if dealer is not providing one.to stay in the game with a profit you need minimum 300 a day .

exactly and that's just breaking even, even the jack leg (hand car wash) guys who are independent should be charging close to $20.00 for a standard car
