LED's replacement upgrade for Interior Lights
Has anyone done this, I've read quite a few posts about people upgrading their interiors with LEDs (not the goofy teenage under the seat neon light thing, just regular interior lights). At first glance, I didn't think it sounded like it would have much of an effect, but I've read more than a few raving that it's one of their favorite upgrades all things considered.
Part 2 of my question is - if any of you have done this (or know something about it) are all LED's created equal for interiors, or is there something specific I should look for?

Re: LED's replacement upgrade for Interior Lights
i love my interior led dome lights. be sure to get smd and as many number of leds as you can. you need to do some measuring. also get ones from 4300-5000k, this is the color. you want a true super white. the blue ones are dim.
I got mine on ebay. i got them for 4 bucks each, i did alot of searching and measured. one of my lights is probabl 5000k and the other is probably 6000k, so one is slightly blue. the guy gave me a partial refund for this. i am really happy with them.
when it comes to car upgrades the best items i've found are the interior ledlights, hid head lights, cold air intake and a meter long led strip for my trunk.

Re: LED's replacement upgrade for Interior Lights
I have done this on the following cars I've had, Honda Prelude, Audi A8 and just today my Mazda Rx8, they are great change and upgrade from your dull stock bulbs..
It's easy and simple to do depending on application.
go here to check what size bulb you need.

Then various websites for LED's
V-LEDS.COM | LED Dome, Map, License Plate, Reverse, DRL, Turn Signal, Brake Lights
www.autolumination.com Tail Light Brake Light Turn Signal LED Bulbs
For BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's and VW's when using LED's THEY will give you error codes on exterior light applications like Parking Lights, Turn Signals, Reverse Lights and your License Plate for those Applications be sure to use ERROR FREE LED's specifically made for German cars.
For your plate light try this place, I had one burn out on me within the year and they replaced it free..

Thanks, I'll have to look out for the error codes and color difference. Don't know that I want to go with the full set just yet. Think I'd like to get the main interiors first to get a feel for them.

Just replaced the interior map lights on my 350Z. What a difference. I plan on doing my other cars as well.

I've ordered many LED's from them including taillights, back up lights, license plate, and interior lights. They may be a bit pricey, but they're worth the extra cost. They're very high quality and I wouldn't buy from any other company.
