The 2nd Gen Apex is still a little loose but to be honest it wasn’t a problem for me on old. Still very secured.

I feel balance in hand was better with the Apex. If I were to recommend one if cost is different I like the apex as the are suppose to come out with different tips that will clip on.

The clips are a lot stronger. A lot of complaints on original version if you picked up/pulled the secondary tip would come off but I would never pick up like that.

I wouldn’t have paid shipping for 2nd Gen switch out if old would have supported new tips that may or may not come out.

I feel ego’s new short tip is gonna kill off business for these other guys

Feel kinda bad for Apex, they were in the box seat to become the go-to for the EGO market, but the delay after delay basically killed it and allowed the competition, including EGO themselves, to take the idea and ran with it. I guess this is what happens when you make your development plans public knowledge.

I'm late to the party, but I'm now on board the Touchless train.

I was sent about 2 liters of Touchless to sample last year, I tried it a few times and was not impressed. That's because I was diluting it too much in the foam cannon bottle and via the high flow rate of my pressure washer. I continued to use it in different dilutions and now think I have it dialed. Having said that, the bottle Touchless above is the recently superseded version, a more concentrated reformulation is available overseas and shouldn't be far off. That will mean recalculating the convoluted panel impact ratio.

I'll be completely honest in that I'm not using this soap on my own cars, they just don't need that sort of cleaning power. However, Touchless is too good not to have around when dealing with far dirtier cars than my own, it's cleaning ability is remarkable.

Also in that order was the new XL version of the Detail Factory Tire Brush.

Compared to the excellent original, the XL version offers four times the surface area, which should prove useful on larger side walls.

Looks like the new PIR range is 0.5-2% from 2-5%. I'd try using 1/3 as much of the new formulation. 1/4 if you were at the low end of the range before and 40% if you were at the high end.

I ended up ordering the Yamatic swivel gun & some new tips. They arrived yesterday and I was able to test it out. Works great along with the hose. Only thing left is a foam cannon.

needed a new wash bucket and found this at HD (in the paint section) for $6.98. it's 3.5 gallons and fits the grit guard (and washboard). similar to the cg's ones but without their logo/branding which I prefer...

Have any of you guys tried 1 of those cheap foam cannons? I’m talking about 1 of those super cheap foam cannons. The 1L clear one. I just ordered it. I paid $13.99 total. I’m interested to see how it works.Post Your Unpacking Pictures

This is more of a rediscovered in storage post rather than an unpacking post

Do any of you guys remember when this was a thing?

It’s from the same era as using diluted Woolite for interior cleaning

I can’t even remember how much I used to dilute this but I remember it was a potent cleaner
