It always used to amaze me how fast and cheap the shipping was from...um...what was that place in Hawaii that everybody used to love their towels?

I think I would get stuff from there in 2 days here on the east coast...when ordering from ACC in San Diego would take 5.

It seems to depend on the shipping method at times. If I ship a 9x6x4, 2lb box to Canada via USPS it may be $20-$30 and no forms required. If I ship via UPS have to fill out forms, assign each item a value, attach forms to box and I believe recipients pays $$ on pickup/delivery. Never heard of anyone paying anything extra when Postal Service is used.

UPS can be weird when shipping outside of lower 48; same 2lb box to Hawaii can be reasonable (for Hawaii) via USPS but UPS will be 4-5X the cost and not get there any sooner.

Sometimes if someone pays for lower-48 2nd day Air w UPS I can choose Next Day-Early for the same price.

Some days shipping that 9x6x4, 2lb box costs X, the next day Y to the same location.

Sometimes I think UPS & the airlines share the same scheduling/pricing software that has no consistent rhyme/reason. Things always seem to cost more when going to New Hampshire :shrug:

Since going to flat-rate $9.99 shipping for orders under $99 (lower 48) my mental state has improved considerably ‘cuz sometimes trying to explain shipping defies logic

This brought back memories of my time in warehousing, explaining to sales reps and customers that freight costs can be very fluid, depending on volumes and current fuel prices. That the cost of sending a parcel from A to B isn't the same as returning the same thing from B to A, if there are high volumes leaving A because it's a city, the cost is reduced because of the volumes, and B might be a small remote town, and they have to send a van just to pick up that one parcel, it makes a difference.

The most frustrating part is explaining it to the same people over and over again because they didn't care the last time you told them, and just because they told a customer they can have their order tomorrow, doesn't mean I can make it happen, at least not without a $500 freight charge (this happened multiple times for a $30 ink cartridge that customers forget to order before they run out).

Rant over. But I do miss that place.

It’s been almost a couple of weeks since I’ve had this new 40 degree nozzle 4.0 orifice to replace the 2.0 nozzle on my Ryobi.



Initially I was having a hard time telling them apart and I kinda felt like the 2.0 was better overall and I’m still not fully convinced the results are better with this new nozzle.

1 thing though, I at least know for sure this 4.0 is producing more water flow vs. 2.0 based on the weight in a bucket after 1min. of flow.

2.0 = 12lbs.
4.0 = 14lbs.

I’m still not convinced it rinses any better though. I’ve also heard a video where JoshV says that you don’t want to get a 4.0 nozzle if you’re using a Ryobi or similar PW but he didn’t explain why… It seems to perform exactly like the 2.0 with more water flow even though I can’t tell when using it. I wonder why he said that.

Also: There’s no way to tell this new nozzle is 4.0 since there’s no marking on it to indicate the orifice. Not on the nozzle or even the packaging. Pretty dumb for them to do that especially since they sell different sizes and they’re all the same color.

4.0 will have more flow but less pressure than 2.0. I went with a 3.0
