Yeah I know. Lol. I was just kidding about buying a new one. If I was going to buy another polisher, it would be a forced rotation flex....something to step up from a DA.
I think something in the motor is going bad on my GG6. A new 3rd gen from a warranty replacement would be a nice upgrade from my 2nd gen.
Yes flex would be awesome lol. But gg would probably honor that if the 2nd gen is discontinued
How do you know did you ever try the rupes out? i had the flex and griots and the flex to me is a better machine. Exspecially over the griots.
Yes, I was able to play with the rotary and da rupes couple months ago. And to be honest I didn't notice a difference between that and megs da. I need the forced rotation to do edge work. Rupes stalls like a true da, it just shakes no spinning. Of course it's lighter and to me that doesn't justify the price gap, or the longer orbital throw that it has

I agree that the Rupes is over rated. I had to put on my flame suit last time I said that. Some members got all offended.
I'll take the Flex over the Rupes any day, including Sundays
I put a comment in the shipping instruction box about my pure hatred for packing peanuts and the awesome folks at Autogeek cared enough to prevent my suicide!!
