Winter Snow Season – Suggestions on getting business
This is our first winter season for both me and my son in the Mobile Detailing Business. Looking for suggestions on how to drum up some business when the temp. drops down to 40 degrees and lower.
Thanks,
Greg

Tempature or Season change shouldn't make any difference. Just because its cold doesn't mean ppl want to drive a dirty car
Sell them on a Winter Protction Program or somthing. Somtimes you just have to get creative
What City/State are you in?

I think that with a little advertising it will take care of itself!

Re: Winter Snow Season – Suggestions on getting business
We are based just outside of Columbus, OH city limits, in a town called Pataskala.
Thanks for some great ideas. We we are planning on hitting up business' the following day or so after a snow storm comes through. Do a quick wash, just remove snow/ salt, etc.
We do have a couple of interiors scheduled.

Do you have a fixed location in addition to your mobile operation?

Re: Winter Snow Season – Suggestions on getting business
If your area is like mine, there are a lot of guys driving around here with their $50-60k trucks. The ones with the 4in lifts, 35's, turbo charged diesels pushing 60 & 70 lbs of boost. If snow and salt are as bad as it is here, use your foam gun to clean the frame rails and underbody. You would be surprised how it is accepted. Kind of use that as a key winter
seller but only make it available with a detail. Use a strong high foaming shampoo, let it soak and eat the salt off and then blast it off. Works much better than the car washes.

You've heard of Pataskala? It has it's good points and bad. My main complaint is poor road maintenance.
We are only mobile, maybe someday also having a fixed location. We are starting out slow (keeping the overhead down).
