Anyone who owns a Saab 9-3 or Lincoln LS?
Those are my top two next car choices (within budget, never mind what I REALLY want).
Whats the clear coat and paint like on them. I'm especially curious about the Saab because the Lincoln is probably close to my Ford.
Thanks,
Mike

I had a 2002 9-3 Ragtop in Cosmic Blue. It was fairly hard. Really fun car, but Im glad I had a good warranty. You will have an easier time with maintenance with the Lincoln, IMO. My Ford has been pretty reliable and the clear is ceramic.
My name is Jim and I am an Old Auburn Tiger.

Thats what I figured. I heard Saabs are expensive to fix, but there is something about them I like...
THe Lincoln has more features, especially the cooled seats.

My wife has an LS... But I've honestly never done any correction on it. The pearl white hides everything so well. Plus I hate working on white. Just an AIO or paint cleaner twice a year.

I owned a lot of Saabs and the pre-GMs are a delight. The '95+ can be a nightmare and as expensive to repair as more exotic offerings.
I'm looking for a low-mileage LS creampuff myself. Seems like they're keepers, those that are for sale folks are a bit too proud of 'em to even make an offer.

I would go with the lincoln...a friend in high school had a 9-3 and when parts needed to be replaced, it cost him a pretty penny.

I used to own a LS. I loved it. IMO they are a true sleeper. They are very nice inside. Get a v8. The paint is typical Ford paint and corrects easy enough and doesnt get scratched up too bad. Ill try to dig up a picture to post later on.
The LS did have a few problems under the hood but was always easy enough to fix on my own.

Get the LS. Here's my 04 LS V6. It was lowered with Eibach springs and 18" wheels.

Are those wheels the ASA JH9? Not to be negative or anything, the car looks nice a little lower, but there are definitely better options out there for wheels. At the end of the day though, it's your car and you're the one driving it.
