Well looks like I really did it :(
Polishing my friends car today, and I left the Griots 6" I got for christmas out. My mom came home and didn't realize it was there and you can kind of guess the rest. Called Griots to see if they could replace the broken part at cost, but unfortunately they cannot. Looks like I'll be in the market for a flex...sucks I really loved my Griots...get some pics up in a bit.
BTW it's only 3-4 months old, thought it'd be somewhat warrantied....guess not.

It should be under warranty from your Mom who ran over it !

Did you really think that it would be covered after being run over by a car???

Sorry to hear that.
My dad was a real stickler for making us pick up after ourselves. To teach me and my brother a lesson he once took all the toys we had let out on the front steps and in the living room, put them in a trash bag and hid them from us for a month.
I never leave things out any more and now I'm getting after my son when he does it.

I'm not making my mom pay for something I was careless about regarding it's placement.

Considering Griots allows a 180 day grace period for full refunds, and a lifetime warranty there after I thought the bottom black plastic piece would be under some sort of warranty or be replaceable free or at some sort of cost. The machine is still in great shape just the bottom piece is cracked/broken...sorry for typing something so far fetched for you eyes lol....

I'm 21, and far from irresponsible with my stuff. I may not be a grown man, but my father is/was very similar to yours....Just was a bit worn out and my moms typically at work...she stayed home due to a soar throat and was at the doctors-I wasn't aware...was gonna clean up before she returned home, but wasn't expecting her so early..oh well..

JonM,
Do you really expect the warranty to cover abuse?

Are you saying the unit is in good shape other than a broken piece and Griots will not repair or replace the part under any conditions? More specifically, they offer no means for repair? You can not pay for the part or repair?

To an extent, but if you read I clearly stated I'm 100% willing to pay. It's literally a $5 at most fix. Just checked at it still rotates fine. You guys will see what I mean when I post up the pic....the shipping would be more expensive than the part.
