I bet they did. However, despite that style taking time, they look far less complex than the US-Spec Elantra N wheel Klasse is going to be dealing with on his new car.
I made a similar mistake a few years ago with my Mk6 GTI. The OEM wheels were similar in design to those shown in your picture, and I upgraded them to a set of OZ wheels. The new wheels were lighter and had straight spokes, but it had a lot more spokes which meant tighter gaps and a lot more time to clean.

Te37 are a lot easier to clean. Just gotta get a mortgage to get a set….

As much as I like those wheels unless they were given to me or even at a high discounted rate I don't think I would put them on my car that's how much I liked my stock rims!

It was not until I discovered the joy of cleaning wheels while seated that I actually started to enjoy cleaning wheels, and those PP1 wheels in particular.
When I took them off the car, I even subjected myself to the torture of polishing them........

i've seen a few of these on the road and it looks really nice. IMO.. with the future of EV's, Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis are going to be at the forefront investing billions pushing the bar even higher. stay tuned folks...
