The 442 belongs to a buddy of mine. We were getting ready for a show the next day.

You cheated! This looks more like my house and it's your garage? I need a new job.

This is my shop, I don't have many good pictures cause their is always something in there, but I have enough room, I just started putting in a new electric service to run my compressor and welder. The detailing area is the section infront of the cabinet, its also the wet sanding area

Well we can certainly tell you don't like S-series trucks very well!

I use 6" Kompressor pads on only my Makita rotary. Because these pads have a slotted pad face it allows the pad to conform to the shape of the body panel, thereby providing maximum surface contact. I think it also helps with putting more product where I need it. Could I use them on my Flex, sure and I have but I like their performance on the rotary best.
Which one I like best... That's like asking which of my children I love the most!
The Makita rotary in my opinion is the best out there. The rpm range starts at 600 and has the slow start feature. The unit is very rugged and well balanced and a joy to work with. Keep im mind that I started using rotary polishers long before DA units were even thought of.
The Flex is quite a unit and can do everything the Makita is capable of but at a little slower pace. without a doubt it's the BEST, most powerful DA polisher on the market today.
The Porter Cable 7424 is a great unit as well but is no where near as powerful as the other two. I use this now solely for applying glazes, sealants, and waxes.
If I HAD to choose just one it would be the Flex 3401.
