[quote=killrwheels@autogeek]No shaking going on in my house, or bedroom, for that matter this weekend. Guess it must have been on the other coast only !![/quote

They say it was felt as far as North Carolina. It was definitely felt throughout Florida, including me in central Fl. Sounded and felt like long, deep thunder and rattled my sliding glass doors and windows in the house! Also resembled blasting in the area(rock mine). I knew it definitely wasn't thunder though.....a little more intense and you could feel it. Definitely was odd for me. Now the damn insurance companies are going to have earthquake deductibles and raise our insurance another 75%!!!

It's amazing the power of nature. We all know what a hurricane can do, but it is amazing to me that an earthquake 6.5 miles below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico could be felt so far away! Amazing! I didn't feel anything or hear anything though at my house.

I did not feel it but then again I sleep during the day. I was in a few when I lived in Cali, I think the best way to describe the feeling is.....more like a fluid rocking rather than a back and forth sawing motion. like if you were on top of a huge piece of jello and someone flicked it. Dont even joke about insurance and raising rates.
