My FIL DID NOT buy cheap, and DID take care of his tools, so *I* ended up winning in this case.

I AM going to ask for a quick tutorial on the compressor when I go pick it up, so I can also use/care for it properly.

Here is a "teaser" of the name on the tank that I took, so I knew what to Google to find out a little more about the compressor.

Re: How I ended up with an awesome air compressor.

**Update on the air compressor repairs**

I dropped it off about a week and a half ago, so I called this morning to get an idea of where it is in the process. The guy on the phone told me they have been basically swamped with business (which I interpret as meaning A LOT of people take their equipment there for repairs, so they are most likely a really good shop), and to give them about another week.

I also asked if when I pick it up, if someone could give me a quick tutorial on HOW TO USE the darn thing, as well as what regular maintenance *I* should do in between professional servicing. Instantly he replied: "Not a problem, just ask who ever helps you when you come in and they will tell you everything you need to know about operation and service."

He even UNDERSTOOD that I knew I was calling 'early' about it (because I'm getting antsy and excited about having and using it) and didn't have a problem at all answering my questions. A very pleasant conversation.
