Re: Look out 2026.....kill switches
Josh phillips over at epoch times did a piece on this which ill try to listen to today to findout more.
From what i gathered so far, this was burried in the recent infastructure bill. It is proposed so it could take 5 years to go into effect...giving it time to maybe be repealed? and its basically said to be a device that passively monitors the driver of a motor vehicle.
Big brother will constantly monitor how you drive. If you do something the system has be programmed to recognize as driver impairment, your car could just shut off, which could be incrediably dangerous.
The proposed kill switch is made to be an open system, meaning autorized or unauthorized third parties can remotely access the systems data at any time.
So i wander what they will consider to be characteristics of drunk driving?? Very interesting.

This crap is all going to be our kids future unfortunately.
I'll be sitting in my wheelchair watching TV when 50 cops are behind a stolen car telling purps to step out of the car! And I'll be telling my grandchildren when we use to watch a exciting car chase.

Re: Look out 2026.....kill switches
The issue stems from multiple people falling asleep in cars with autonomous driving and police not being able to stop the vehicle. Police could box the vehicle in and coax it to stop but I’m not sure of one car in front could stop a Tesla. Cue a medical emergency in the same situation and I think this is just part of autonomous vehicle future whether we like it or not.

Makes sense in that situation. So if thats the case, why not install it on just the autonomous vehicles?
