Anybody have Labor Day weekend detailing plans?
Going to rain here Sun/Mon. Truck did really stay clean this week. Made a few trips here and there. Getting at the tail end of vacation. SAD. Still might give it a wash today at some point. Enjoy your long weekend!

Hoping to clean up the truck…
Nothing crazy. Just a maintenance wash and interior clean up.
Kinda all I have time for but that will have to do.

I jumped the gun at Discount Tire Friday. I replaced the tires on my new van with the next larger size. Then scrubbed the heck out the new tires with various chemicals removing the release compound. I followed up with a coat of Cure on the paint (Can Coat base) and Xpel Boost on the PPF.

Yep rain sunday/monday here too. Still thinkin about doing a 2 step correction and pure evo, now that its been 30 days since being out of the paint both.
Only have limited time to do it and unfortunatly would not be under cover when the rain hits

I just got my car back after not having it for 3 weeks. Definitely need to clean the inside of the windshield at a minimum. Not sure what else yet.

Did indeed do a Maintenace wash this morning. Not too sunny out. Hit the headlights/taillights and 3rd brake light with some DP lens protectant spray I had lying around. Absolutely going to be MILLER TIME later.

I'm giving my Black Chevy Colorado some TLC... Polishing with M210 using primarily a Meguiar's MT300 DA. Also using a Griot's GR3 Rotary and G8 DA for selected areas. I have one side left to finish today then on to the LSP.
Haven't decided on the LSP yet but it will between 303 Graphene Nano Coating, Meguiar's Ultimate Wax, Meguiar's 21 Sealant, Meguiar's 26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax or some combination thereof. I'm leaning towards the 303 and topping it with one of the Meguiar's products to improve the slickness which the 303 lacks. If I opt for a single LSP it will probably be the M21.
We are in the midst of a brutal, weeklong, heat wave with daytime temps near 110 deg F. Installing a though-the-wall air conditioner in my garage several years ago is certainly paying dividends today!

Having done a full 2-day detail back on the 25th/26th, I just did a RW with Uber and gave the paint a coat of OCW. (spray). I really like how the OCW plays with the Collinite 476. I didn't take a pic because it was 100% overcast today.
Hit the tires with another coat of DG253.
Done.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Neighbor brought his Camry over for some love. We all have a friend who try their best and are 80-90% effective with hand applying product. The only way to hit a detailing home run is by using power.
3D Speed for polishing and Poxy as a topper were used. He likes using my cordless Flex Finisher while I use the C-Beast on the horizontal surfaces for faster "rids" removal. The Pixie removed a lot of spot rash before polishing.
We then tried his Dr. Colorchip kit. It's been years since I've used a "chip kit". Nice results.
