note: it's not that i don't like lettuce, some places put too much and it's just filler. onions taste better and doesn't bulk up the burger...
 
i heard they have a few places in los angeles that have the korean style corn/hot dogs but that's over 50 miles one way :( . with current gas prices, it would cost $100 to drive there and back lol...

 
Thought I would share my pizza from the local village pizza. The leftovers are being warmed up for lunch now

I’m not knowledgeable about these things but that looks like my favorite of a calzone. Well, pizza done right is my favorite but that isn’t as easy to find as you might think. Couple places near here have decent pizza but not consistent with sauce quality (flavor), amount of sauce, or dough thickness. So homemade it is.

Just looked this up and was educated since I didn’t know the difference between calzone and Stromboli. Do they track a difference where you live?

It's a Calzone. Tomato sauce, ham and cheese. Or at least it's cald that here in Sweden LOL. We have a lot restuarants that does pizza. Even the common places do some good pizza. Most smaller villages has one. And even in the cities there are the most common restuarants that does just pizza. But the taste can be different depending on where you live. The favorite pizza is Kebabpizza that the swedes like the most. And there are the added yoghurt based sauce important to have a good taste. Also almost every is a very thin dough here.

To celebrate a general great day today, my g/f and I went to dinner. She's never been here and I've talked it up for quite some time now, tonight was the night. In addition to that, its the first time she's been in the EN as well!

This place has been on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" if you wanna check it out and as you'll see in the pics, is on an original leg of historic Route 66 (here you go Tony) The fried chicken here is INCREDIBLE️

Sorry the neon sign wasn't on, maybe it needs some work but usually it works.

I think I remember that joint on the show. What a great sign. And the Corvette on the menu? I’m sold.
 
Smoked my first Easter ham yesterday (4 hours at 240°)for my side of the family. Made a homemade glaze (found the recipe online) with ginger ale, honey, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon, and garlic.

I was really happy watching everyone dig in with compliments. Pics aren’t the best.

Leftovers....if so, I'd just need some fresh rolls, spicy brown mustard and it's a wrap, maybe some Swiss cheese too

There is a cuban place I visit once a month out of town and that stuff is out of this world, I wish I could find all of the correct spices
