Ditto. An Integra revival? Yes, please. Even if they just take the Civic Type R and slap their SH-AWD on it, replace the wing, and sprinkle a little leather around it, I'll be very interested.

They've done great things supposedly with the new TLX.

Getting way off topic, but have you driven one? I'd love to see what it's like. If I was in the market for a new sedan right now, it would be at the top of my list.

I guess I'll have to see the R when it lands and see if it does anything to me but as of now, I don't know what car I'd replace my GTI with, the ones I like are too expensive, the ones that I could afford, I don't like
Yeah I also haven't seen any in person so it's hard to say for sure. At first I didn't like the way it looked but it has grown on me as far as the exterior goes.

Interior overall design I think looks pretty good but I hate all of the capacitive touch buttons. I feel like our MK7s are one of the few cars left that have reall buttons and nobs.

Performance wise it seems to be like a pretty substantial upgrade based on some reviews I've seen although a lot of those differences you aren't going to feel out on the street. Also the press car seems to have basically a track tire on it so hard to get a real gage on performance.

If the used market stays where it is right now when the MK8 GTI comes out I might look into getting one. I'd be more interested in the R but also not interested in the 40-40k price tag. I would also entertain a MK7.5R but kind of the same thing they've really held their value even before all the craziness and right now prices are sky high.

I'm like you. In the price range of our current cars there's really not much that interests me. Gotta spend a good chunk more to actually get something that would be an upgrade or just something I would want.

I don't drive anything because I'm poor a d can't afford something like that, so so I just admire from a distance. I did see a brand new TypeS in that gold color with thr forged rims though...Nissan 400ZNissan 400ZNissan 400Z

i would take the last few years 370z exterior design instead with this interior (refresh) design. the rear end would be a deal breaker for me.

That engine has been around in the RedSport. Solid 3.0 biTurbo. Love the rear... front not so much

    Re: Nissan 400Z

For me, I find the styling of the 400Z is lacking in cohesion.

The softer, more organic design elements clash with the straighter, squarer lines at the rear.

As I mentioned in the opening post, the styling is growing on me but, like the Supra, the design doesn't quite gel.

As for the 400Z using a carry over platform and re-purposed engine, I guess those sentiments can be leveled at the Mustang, Camaro and Dodge twins. The S550 Mustang uses a evolved S197 platform, the Camaro borrowed an existing Cadillac base and the Dodges use an ancient Daimler platform.

Having said all that, I love the fact these type of cars are still available, I'm not ready for an electric car just yet.

I had the same engine with a basic piggy back tune. It was okay. Has potential. An Alpha tune and downpipes out a 4k lb car into the mid to low 11s.

Downside is reliablity. The 3.0 isn't. I never had problems but many are. Tiny turbos and belt issues plaqgue them.

Right now the M2 is the small tossable wonder to beat. I'd own that before the 400. Love the supra too.

Nissan will sell this but better options can be had.

I was wondering if it would be significantly changed in the reborn version. Maybe the first electric Acura?
