Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!
So I've moved into a new place and the car is not only outside 24/7 but is under a tall tree and near another tree that is lightly spattering my car with small sap spots.
My coating, TAC System Power Plus Sio2 paint coating (70%) and 1 coat was applied at the end of May, given proper cure time and no wash for a week. So here's the question, if I wipe my car down with N914 everyday will that diminish the coating faster? How about a foaming/rinse/wipedown more often?
My thought is to stay after it and not let it sit on the car any longer than it needs to....or, because of the paint coating, would I be ok to let it go? The fact that I can see is driving me nuts, to the point I might get a car cover but that's such a hassle, plus it's a Hyundai Elantra Sport, not a new 911 992 Turbo S
Any and ALL input is welcome and if you know about trees, like how long will this last, even better
Also...please for me, it's been over 7 years since I've had a car outside like this!

That's a tough one. I honestly couldn't do it. I have no trees over my driveway and the two on our tree lawn were cut down a while ago as I dont want to park under them. Lol.

Every time you wipe the coating, be it washing, drying, or to feel the slickness, it’s abrading the finish and therefore reducing the life of the coating. So yes, daily wipe down will reduce the life. But that’s probably better than letting the sap sit on the paint for days.
So the best thing to do? Cut down the trees.

The tree is on someone else's property plus I live in an apartment so not much I can do. I should add, like 90% of us here, I have MANY toppers, so maybe regular use of these during bucket washes will help...the TRUE sacrificial layer but for real this time around in this situation

Sadly a battle that can't be won. If your a detailer, first thing you look at is where the area is that parking and washes will be taking place. I cringe every time I look up the street in front of the house. Neighbors park both vehicles off street under maple trees. I cant imagine the amount the sap on their vehicles. But then again, I never saw them wash their vehicles once.

Chicagoland has this STUPID law where you can't park on the streets from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. so I don't even have THAT option

My brother's town in NJ is the opposite, can't park on the street overnight. I once was parked on the street and before going to bed it was pouring, I was like screw that, I'm not moving the car to the driveway. Next morning I go to the car and there's a damn ticket on the windshield. I think it was only $23 and I paid it online immediately but I never thought it would be enforced, let alone under the rain they had that night.
