Re: Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!
Ok, first of all the pic was taken @8:50 p.m. CST, sorry about the lighting. So I put my daughter to bed and decided to Foam the car down and see if the sap would just rinse away...it did! I actually foamed the car, let it sit, rinsed and foamed it again and rinsed. The first foaming did it but why not, right. I did no 2BM but did use free flowing water for the final rinse, man having a hose again is nice I dried the entire car with the Sucker Jr, dried the jams and wiped the tires/wheels real good, also the engine bay, my normal routine. Now the car sits until we head to C&C tomorrow morning. Speaking of that, can't wait to see what turns up tomorrow, the shows have been killing it lately.
I guess it's good that the sap comes off with a simple foaming with pretty normal car wash soap, just wish the car was perfect for when I leave, maybe I'll get up an hour early and knock it out right before the show in the future

I am glad that it washed right off. Parking under a tree can be a curse with sap, leaves and bird deposits but it can also be a blessing. It's great to work in the shade.

***UPDATE***
So after mentioning this to the landlord he called his tree guy to come out for an estimate on trimming all the trees. Everything is being trimmed this Thursday @ 8 a.m. When I come home from work that day I hope this helps or eliminates the problem, what do you guys think

Re: Daily sap on car...the war is on, could use some advice!
I think it’ll for sure help. Having parked my car in the garage recently since I mostly drive my company vehicle (never thought an Altima would be my “fun car, but anyway...) it’s insane how much of a difference it makes.
There’s just so much crap floating around in the air outside. You wash that far often enough it probably won’t be a huge deal, but I do hope the sap issue is at least eased up after the trimming to tolerable levels.
In the future I definitely am going to have a big garage be a requirement for any house I’m looking in to. Or at the very least a sizable carport.

The landlord is writing this off as an expense, its $2150 I know this, if it works, a few months will be added to my life for sure

You’re stronger than me.
When my car sat outside all the time I got to a point where all I could muster was a once a week wash and had given up during the in between time.
