I stopped buying Craftsman about 6 years ago when the quality dropped. Now that Sears sold them off its near impossible to get Lowes to honor the lifetime warranties.

Construction is apparently behind schedule due to the pandemic.
And their site confirms that indeed it is mostly an assembly operation using globally-sourced components. They do have some component forging capacity onsite but that will surely be done with robots and auto-forging presses (for safety and improved efficiency).
That should wad up the panties of all those kiddies who fear the global economy and global sourcing ...

I just hope it is good quality. I am waiting for them to hit the stores to look at them.
