    Toolbox resto - kinda

So my dad gave me his toolbox and all his tool. Needed some work done to it, and all tools need to be sorted, organized and everything. It’s a older craftsman that was I originally going to repaint different color but changed mind to keep it the same. I put some mirror glaze #7 on the top box because that wasn’t to bad. The bottom box needed some paint work so I got the closest match possible in spray can and painted. Came out actually pretty good. I want to now put a coat of paste wax on it, as well as the top box. Now I can do the top box right now but was wondering when can I put the wax on the bottom box since it was recently painted without hurting anything? It’s been dry for 24hours going on 48. Any input?

Would wait a full week or 2 for the paint to gas out. put near the boiler in your home if you can. I just restored some 1940s and 50s craftsman and snap on tools and a 50s carry box.

Thanks for the info! I have yet to put wax on it because I read somewhere saying to wait 30days. But I might do it tonight after work. Still waiting on some clips to come in mail for drawers and also debating what to do with drawers as well (far as to paint or not).

Restoring tools is next project because he gave me a bunch of tools with box.
