Now the beer distributors are going nuts! Possibility of closing after today. Like sheep, I got my 2 cases this morning. Think I will get toasted and watch the sky fall. I swear it`s a inner ploy to make people instant hoarders. And the stores rich. $$ After it's over, the question will be asked "Why did I buy all the stuff?'

Some places will profit but the majority are going to be hit hard. And a lot of small businesses may not make it.

Re: Who else is working from home now???
I work from home about 50% of the time. Now with this pandemic I’m working from home like 90% of the time. Very few people are willing to or want to meet in person. Fine by me. Today was my kids’ (5th grade and 2nd grade) first day of online learning and it went amazingly well. Friday they practiced for it at school. This morning, they booted up and reported for school at 8:30 and at 8:35 started their first class. Went all the way to 1pm. They even did karate over zoom and that went well. Thank god for technology.
I keep my wet bar and beer fridge fully stocked at all times so that wasn’t a problem for me. Funny thing is I don’t even drink much. Just like having it. I have been stocking up on dry goods for 2 weeks. Did it over time so as to not hoard the supplies and save some for others in my community. Hopefully this doesn’t last long. Been rationing food already. Lost 2lbs this week, lol. Maybe it’s water weight. Stay safe people.
Oh, and since water is still fine, I’ll keep, detailing my cars til I’m told not to.

Re: Who else is working from home now???
Tomorrow will be my first day. I am in the regulatory department for an oil and gas company in Denver. I submit permits for new wells and new pads mainly. Today I cleaned out my office of everything I may need to do my job for the foreseeable future. Brought home a second monitor, keyboard, mouse.
Yesterday Denver announced all eat in establishments close till May 11, today most places didn’t open at all.
This will save me 45-50 commute each way.
Can’t wait to see how it goes. My wife and kids are also home with school canceled.

I work full-time in oil company, so that hurts jobs!
So working company laptop now from kitchen bar and working home PC. Now it tests the moral fabric, can I avoid eating while bored?
I work in oil and gas also, my company has so many sweets and junk around the office working at home I will be more healthy

Re: Who else is working from home now???
I'm a pilot, and my wife works in healthcare. No working from home for us. Really wish I did right now.
On the positive, I have a lot of downtime right now and we don't need to worry about childcare for our 3 and 5 year olds, so there's that.

Well, not working. But I'm home.
Governor Cuomo shut down NY state today for all non-essential workers.
So I am officially "Coronavirus unemployed" until further notice.
I guess one bright spot is that I might be able to try out my new DP prize package a little sooner that I thought............
