Personally:
I believe—wait: I KNOW that I’m objective
enough to accept that a Corvette...(an actual
Chevrolet-branded product)...has, or may be
perceived as having, an attribute that conveys
a Chevrolet family resemblance.
No different from the practice that the biggest
majority of all vehicle manufacturers try to con-
vey throughout their own product offerings, IMO.

Agreed Bob, everyone is doing it but not too many mfgs have an ICON in their line up, this is why, IMO, it really needs to stand out and above all else. That said, those who get one (Bob) I wish you many miles of enjoyment.
I've let it be known to my wife that for my 50th birthday next February that I would like to drive a mid-year coupe, well, obviously in the spring. I told her this, mid-year coupe and 4 spd, no vert and NO power glide. Wish me luck and I'm not one to make a big deal about my birthday, trust me, I'm not "that guy" but I figured I'm not getting any younger and I really wanna drive my dream car.

I think round, square octagon etc isn't really the issue. They just look bad.

Gonna be doing the same thing a month later, Rog.
But my ride might be a bit older. Been REALLY wanting a classic Charger or 'Cuda.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Thanks Roger.
We’ve really enjoyed all of the miles we’ve
had the opportunity to put on our Corvettes.
And God willing:
Hopefully we’ll be able to continue enjoying
them, and any of the next ones we are fortu-
nate to get.

I bet that your Wife will come through Big Time;
and, that you’ll get that chance to drive your
dream car.
•I had that chance earlier in life:
-I got to drive several different models of the
Mid-years when they each first came out (Yes,
I am getting old) and they were, to say the
least, a driving sensation!!
•Make sure plenty of pictures are taken...
especially some of your smiling face when
you goose it a little bit! LOL!

Re: New mid engine Corvette. July 18th.
I will be 50 in exactly 3 months. Time sure flies. I would love to have a Corvette,or even one of the new "stripped down" Camaros for 2020. In September,I will have had my Formula for 25 years. It's the last new car I've owned. I'm going to hold onto it to say I've had it 25 years. It needs a dash pad and a headliner, and it could stand a set of tires. After I get all that taken care of it's gone. Gonna start modding the wife's G8 after 7 years of ownership. It's paid for,and it has an LS engine. Can't argue with that. Way cheaper than something new. I might LS swap my C10 also. Been kicking that around since the 388 stroker I had built for it is 11 years old now,and has always had some sort of issue.
YOLO though. Go big,or go home. C8 Corvette would sure be nice...

Didn’t take long for them to start
showing up ‘in the wild’: all naked;
au naturel; and the like:

Sweet that they are already out in the wild but damn I think the rear looks terrible....at the reveal I was impressed..but seeing that photo I do not like it at all ..looks Camaro like and just ugly..ah.
