tire dressing
What's a good long lasting tire dressing?
I used to use this stuff called Wipe New - Tires but it's since been discontinued. There was a process. First you soaped and scrub cleaned the tire, then let dry. Then you don a 3M chemical filter cartridge mask, because no joke this stuff was noxious, then you applied just a teeny bit to the provided sponge and applied to the tire. Go around doing all 4 then then come back and do it again.
The black lasted for a good long while...couple months before you had to do it again.
Is there anything like this still out there on the market?

Yeah try one of the many tire coatings. If money not major concern Black Pearl got great reviews from fly07sti and others. I’m currently using Tac system tire coat and I’d say 5-8 weeks durability if looking for clean tire look. 4 weeks if more satin.

Re: tire dressing
Ive used a crap load of different ones over the years. I now stick to mainly water based AND non-shiny tire dressings.
That being said to be totally honest my absolute favorite never failed me dressing is EcoTouch. They dont sell it here anymore but used to. Its not quite thick like a gel but also its not watery either. I goes on level with minimal wiping and makes the tires look GREAT. I LOVE IT. Second for me would be the old BF trim & tire gel. Cant find it anymore and dont trust that the new version will be the same PLUS it is more expensive than the ET.

The new Optimum tire coating is pretty damn nice. Been on my DD for about 5-6 weeks and cleans up with soapy water. For something that lasts a year or longer, BP is it. Both take quite a bit of prep to ensure proper bonding.

I’ve found the same; looks like the day I applied it, and a sponge with soap is fine.

Tuf Shine is pretty top notch. That kit will easily do 5 cars which makes it very economical.

Duragloss 253 Tire and Rubber dressing is the best I've ever found. You can control gloss with number of applications. It lasts through a few washes/rains. It's just a solid, consistent performer. And it's cheap. And if it doesn't rain, it'll last a few weeks.

Your in the desert and I'm in a tropical climate. I need something like Tuf Shine that will last for months and not weeks.
