I had one doing this to mine and the neighbors too for like 2 years. Finally one of us remembered to get a fake owl and since then no problems. Mount the owl somewhere higher than the ground and that should keep the birds away like a snake would. Initially he had the owl on the ground and that wasnt working.

Ha...I tried an owl, I know it was on the ground at one point, I don't remember if I had it higher up or not. It didn't work, but maybe I didn't have it high enough.

We droop towels over the side mirrors n bungy cord them on if windy. And we an old mirror outside next to a chair, this keeps her busy most of the time. Sits on chair chirping at herself in the mirror n leaving a mess on the old chair

My town’s mascot is wild chickens (we even have a Wild Chicken Festival). About 60 or so years ago someone thought bringing a new species of chicken here would be a good idea and people would hunt them. Now they are all over town and they are “protected”. If you accidentally run over one you can be fined $100. The destroy my yard and crap all over everything. We have some feral cats too. You would think the feral cats would eat the chickens, nope. The cats just walk with the chickens, it’s comical.

Wow, that is unreal. Do they actually enforce that fine?
Seems Draconian.

I’ve never talked to anyone that has ever been caught and fined, but there are plenty of hit and run dead chickens around, lol.
