Have ever worked on Mazda vehicles? Every time I do I think to myself, what a piece of crap!
Pannels are so thin they flex anytime you put any pressure on them. Carpets are so badly designed that any dirt gets trapped and it's almost impposible to remove.
Paint is so thin that they have clearcoat failures after 4 years here in Canada. Some not so old Mazdas are rust buckets only a few years after purchase. Most of it on the trunk where the brake light is.
I once had to work on a 2 year old Mazda CX-9, the paint was 50 microns thick... that's only 2 mils! Mazda will cut any corner they can to save money... not a company I want to be in bed with for 5 years!

Nice new model on the roads. Congrats. I am a bit puzzled about the choice for the leather since it is almost assuredly vinyl/plastic coated and a simple protectant would have been just fine?

How much did Kia charge for the real leather option? I know in the Mercedes Benz E Class it’s an extra $2,200 dollars for real leather seats, otherwise you’re stuck with that hard pleather M-Tex.

Cause I have it in my cabinet and they aren’t pleather seats. I get most modern cars have a coating on their leather but it’s not like I harmed anything. I’m sorry I puzzled you.

Is it possible that they’re threading the fine line with their wording on the description of the seats? Reason I’m asking is because they say “standard leather seats” then they go on to say that the GT2 has available “Napa leather seat covers”
So knowing how car manufacturers love the delicate use of words to make everything they describe sound extra special in every way, could it be that when they say “leather seats” that’s their definition of leather trim? And when they say available “leather seat covers” that’s how they define the whole seat being leather and not a leather/vinyl mix?
Not trying to argue or throw shade, it’s a legit question.

There’s probably nothing behind it, it’s just I’ve gotten so used to car manufacturers trying to be slick with their fancy descriptions.
