Re: Checking back in
Welcome back and I'm glad the transition is finally working out for you. I've been there, and it isn't easy.
Looking at the town of residence you're showing now, we probably live surprisingly close to each other.

Mike! I’ve been wondering where you’ve been hiding. Glad to hear you’ve gotten settled into your “new” life and are happy. Good to have you back, Sir.

Welcome back buddy. I must say, it has been a little strange without you on the forum. I have no experience in what you have been going through but I guess it would be a fair bit different being a civilian & I'm sure it isn't something that gets thought of too often from outsiders. Nice to read you are in a good spot now Mike.
Also from a Kiwi - Thank You for your service Mike.
As much as you signed up for your country, being that we Kiwis are on the same team essentially you served for us too.
Excited to see what you do with your garage at home mate. Be sure to document it for us & when you have time please share as well. Good to have you back, now . . . whats your opinion on the cordless Flex tools?
Aaryn NZ.
Hey Aaryn!!!!
I really went through a transition in my time away from here. Lots of things have happened. But I am getting settled in and looking forward to get back into a groove.
Really appreciate the gesture bud. Service before Self!
Will do. Lots of things need to be done in my bare garage.
That's really interesting what they have done. A few things have been introduced from all manufacturers in my time away. I saw the have released the 3" machine. Boy I bet that is a beauty to work with. As for the cordless introduction, I would have rather seen an intricate cordless machine in the like of the RUPES Ibrid introduced first or even an cordless 3" machine. I think this would have suited the mobile detailers a bit better in that they perform smaller the tasks of detailing cordless and doing the larger jobs at home in the shop where the individual would have access to a proper outlet.
Perhaps they see something in the market that I don't.

Re: Checking back in
Welcome to civilian life! Transitioning to a 9 to 5 job will be frustrating and also the loss of comraderie that the military life fosters. I still miss the closeness of my military buddies, there is nothing like it on the outside. Glad you have a skill that transfers to civilian life, many military folk get out with no skills that transfer to real life (hard to shoot, move and communicate). I’m glad to see you back online, you have been missed!
