Protection under car seat

Anyone have a suggestion? We're expecting our first child in march and I want to protect the leather under the seat from marking and damage. I know there are a lot of pads for this purpose, just wondering if anyone prefers one over another. Thanks.

I have two kids and for both I have used cut up yoga mats and cardboard...it works well... congratulations and good luck

Google car seat protection.

If you have leather seats I would also but a towel between the seat and the protector.

I’ve seen the foam rubber backing on some of them stick to the leather and wouldn’t want to accidentally pull some of the coating off the seat.

Babies r us car seat pad and that will sit on top of towels. Been using this method with both cloth and leather seats with great results

They work really well from a cleanliness standpoint, but they're pretty soft, so I could see some indentation in the leather over time. Then again, it's a frickin minivan.
