When it rains, it pours!
Walked into Classic Muscle Car Garage today to drop off my towels and organized my stuff.
Owner told me they want me to "keep" all cars in shop for service cleaned and covered. We will use those disposable plastic covers with elastic bands. All cars that comes in will get a cover while sitting
in shop for mechanical service to keep shop dust and dirt off. And of course, before covering, all cars will get either waterless or rinseless wash before getting their covers on.
So as of today---I have 6 cars to do! About fell over! Did 2 today. Will do 3 more once the covers arrive. And 1 paint correction and interior detail this Friday. Taking day off tomorrow (Thursday) to visit new granddaughter.
Guess this will take care of having a detail fix!
The list:
1. 1968 Olds Cutlass Convert. General rinseless wash and delivered to customer. (today)
2. 1955 Chev Belair. Engine transplant. Rinseless wash and covered. (today)
3. 1967 Pontiac GTO. Vintage A/C installation. Hold til covers come. (later)
4. 1965 Chev Malibu. Hold til covers arrive. (later)
5. 1965 Chev C10. Hold til covers arrive. (later)
6. Mercedes C300. Full detail and possible paint correction plus full interior. (This coming Friday.)
Yeah...very happy camper tonight.
Thanks for listening.

Thanks Scott...
I'm still in a daze tonight.
My take away is this, Knowledge of abrasive technology, continue to learn and most of all---be very, very good at producing stunning results. All the rest will follow.
I'm sure the old hats know this!!! Grin

Re: When it rains, it pours!
you are covering after paint correction? hmmm.
If I were you I'd go to amazon and look at some heavy duty king size bed sheets (black is usually cool). I would rather drape cars in soft sheets then use some weird cover with an elastic bottom.
Keep in mind, the elastic will rub against the tires and as your removing it, it will drag all that across the paint. Wheel covers aren't a bad idea either.
Seriously just check on king size bed sheets, you may have to use two per car...
And just to give credit where credit is due, I learned of this little trick from Dani & Wills at Windows & Wheels. They typically will use sheets from amazon to cover vehicles in their shop... not car covers.

Re: When it rains, it pours!
Shop and shop management made that decision. They are a mechanical shop does custom cars and classic muscle.
However will look into it. And if I can, will advise. I tend to use sheets on my own work.
Thanks for chiming in...
