Or did you drain the tank and carb bowl?

Honda carbs are notorious for being finicky with bad/stale gas.
Lawnmower/Snowblower gas always has stabil in it. I do need to top it off. I would have liked to put ethanol-free gas in it but my girlfriend went out and got regular gas. It's a 2014 and it's been starting right up the past few years. That wasn't the case when she first bought it and did not know to treat the fuel.

Stabil 360 is some good stuff. With a 4-stroke, I would be relatively confidant in its protection over the winter with 90+ octane.

If it were me? I would run the mower on the treated ethanol gas, then drain the tank and carb bowl.

    JMO......
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: Installed some Conti DWS06's on the RedSport

I think I aged a decade changing the 20 year old Denso spark plugs out of the V6 Discord. I have never in my years of wrenching had plugs fight me like that before. Being a winter beater I was like "screw it, send it" and committed to it. Two hours later I had six plugs changed. I felt one was stripped, and two more tightened up about 1/3 of the way out and got tight in both directions. That's when I said a prayer. Thankfully it was a success and none of them snapped on me. The new NGKs tightened up nicely. This car is running significantly better since giving it some TLC. The previous owner just did things that made no sense to me. Performed an OEM timing belt job($1100) but never did the plugs or trans service, judging by the stalactites of metal fines I found on the plug magnet. Trans loved some fresh ATF. The slight shudder I had going into 3rd is gone. Next checkpoint, spring. The car has 117k on it as of yesterday and being a Honda I feel the powertrain shouldn't give me issues. I don't know Hondas though so trusting the countless rumors I hear of them being excellent reliable cars.

I constantly run a mix of rec gas with Seafoam so I never worry about fuel during storage. Two pulls the mower will start in the spring, bet money on it. That has been the case in it's 15~ year life up to this point anyways.

Sounds good. I'll leave the shed unlocked. Just lock up when you're done.
