Does house detailing count?
Cleaning all the rails and glass panels on the lanai
They are developing a lot across the way and the wind is constantly carrying red dirt over here
If you let it get wet and sit for any length of time it stains EVERYTHING
Constant battle
I’m scared to go up and check the solar panels
Super Clean and scrubbing with brushes

Going way back here, but finally got a picture of the yard after a few weeks of mowing crop circles -
Never mind the dog spots - it’s been a busy summer, and has felt a little weird chasing a thick full lawn when drought conditions are so widespread. Just raising the mower up a notch has done wonders compared to the neighbors, even without ratcheting up how much I water in comparison to others.
Also disregard the paint condition on the deck - the deck’s getting replaced next spring!

Did some roofing work in prep for the upcoming rainy season in Southern California. Applied a silicone roof coating to the flat patio roof on the back of my house. The roll-roofing material up there is about 15 years old and was starting to show some deterioration. Hopefully this will extend the roof's service life a bit.

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?
Did a little touch-up job to my daughter's Kia Soul. Someone hit and gouged the front bumper cover a month or so ago... No idea who or even where.
Start to finish took about an hour. Perfection was not even a consideration. This was simply a "make it disappear at 10 feet" repair. In fact, the paint I used wasn't even color code specific... It was a spray can of Rustoleum Gloss White Fast Drying High Performance Enamel that I had on the shelf. Sprayed it into the cap and applied with a brush. Color match was actually pretty close.
Far from perfect, but my daughter is happy.
Process:
- Trimmed away the raised material with a single edge razor
- Compounded the repair and surrounding area w M105
- Cleaned repair area with Isopropyl Alcohol
- Filled the gouges with JB Weld Quick
- Trimmed and leveled the JB Weld with a single edge razor and swab dampened with acetone
- Applied the touch-up paint
Before
After

I honestly cannot see it. Even in the last pic, John.
That is awesome.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Photos can be deceiving...
Many times they don't do justice to something really nice.
And on the flip side, and more commonly, they can make mediocrity look flawless.
Believe me, if you could see this in person it's pretty obvious. Like I said, the objective was to eliminate the eye-sore when viewed from a distance.

Stop arguing with me, dammit. I said I can't SEE it!
But yeah, I get exactly what you mean. And, you said your daughter is happy. That's job well done right there.
