Lighting for detailing, or just in general Monica?

I will check out the Humble Mechanic and study the process.
I do have an Audi but it has a canister filter so I never had the chance to learn on the kind you have. If I were to own a Mercedes or BMW I’d like to continue to change my own oil so it’s just a matter of doing and getting used to it.

It’s a ‘03 A4 1.8T.
The filter is buried at the bottom of the engine compartment so you have to reach in and grab it. Can be a hassle. That’s why I could use a filter-in-housing set up.
I watched a Humble Mechanic video and yeah, it will just be a matter of me getting used to that type of filter. He used an extractor and there was 100ml of oil left behind when he pulled the drain plug.
This would be Okay with me since it’s so hard to get ALL of the oil out either way. I’ve been using an extractor for so long and never had issues with my car from it.

Yeah I used an extractor also. Between the extractor and the tip mount oil filter it's an absolute breeze. Even a dummy like me can do it.

Took the Wife on a trip into Chicago to a newsstand to pick up some magazines and a good cup of coffee. She hasn't been able to do this in over two months, and they quietly closed our local Barnes and Nobel permanently a few days ago.
You never truly appreciate the small pleasures in life until they are gone .
I picked up a few magazines, myself.

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?
The weed whacker has been running a bit "off" so far this season, so this morning I rebuilt the carburetor and replaced the tube assembly. (The 3 tubes that exit the gas tank. Fuel pick-up, primer pick-up, and vent).
The assembly came all together with a new fuel filter, vent check valve, and primer bulb for $14. The carb rebuild kit was around $9.
Beats the hell out of $75 for a new carb with no tube assembly, and the machine runs like a raped ape now.
