Do you use pump (ethanol) gas in the blower?

I did. I put super in there. I think its 92 or 93 octane. Also put stabile fuel stabilizer in there.

Octane does not matter for long-term storage. The ethanol is still a 10% blend. (I believe even closer to 12%)
Ethanol damages the rubber/neoprene/plastic parts in small engines (i.e. fuel systems).
Synthetic fuels are great, but mostly impractical cost-wise if you use several gallons a year.
In the future, pump your 93 octane in the container, then add Seafoam fuel additive (found anywhere) at 1 oz. per gallon.
Run this mixture all winter, and when the summer rolls around, run the Seafoam treated tank dry, or siphon it out into your mowers.
Go to your local hardware store, and buy a quart of TruFuel 4-stroke mix. (The engineered fuels I mentioned above).
Pour a few ounces in the tank, run the blower until it stalls, then drain the float bowl on the carb.
You will never have an ethanol problem the rest of your born days.
