    Question Garage Door Insulation

I am needing to insulate the garage door at my new house and wasn't sure what to use. My last house had styrofoam and while it worked decently, it left the little white balls everywhere if you brushed up against it.

Obviously looking to keep warmth inside during the winter and keep the heat outside during the summer.

    Thanks in advance!

If you have the styrofoam on keep there and cover with Tyvek wrap they also have tape which is very good and will seal the wrap, you buy them at Home Depot, Lowes...

I don't have any insulation currently - that was at my last house.

    Re: Garage Door Insulation

A picture of your door would definitely help. The insulation on my doors came from Home Depot and really make a difference in the winter. A friend bought this for his doors and then it didn’t fit correctly so he gave it to me. He ended up using styrofoam sheets which he cut to fit his doors.

I saw the DIY kits, but don't care for how they look - nor would I like to rub up against the fiberglass insulation.

    Re: Garage Door Insulation

If you cover the fiberglass or the foam with Tyvek you will not touch it and great another barrier for the door
