I had some insulation blown into the attic space above me to help with keeping the heat out and the cool in. My doors are insulated. This system will pull it down to 65 degrees in the heat of the day! (probably lower, I haven't seen how cool it will go yet)

Anyway, what a relief and a huge help!

Very nice. I'm not sure about where you are but in CA we don't have the humidity but it does get into the 90s and sometimes 100s and 2500-3000 CFM attic exhaust fans really help keep it cool up there in that space between the roof and the insulation between the ceiling joists. We have three of them on the house (which saves immensely on A/C bills) and a fourth one on the garage. The garage used to go above 100 on hot days. Now, just with the fan only it rarely goes above 80, even if it is 105 outside. There is enough thermal mass in the concrete slab and insulated walls to keep the ambient temps that low (in the garage). The temp at the peak of the garage ceiling is about 150-180 on really hot days and the air coming in through the vents is the outside temperature. I measured all of these temps using a thermal gun. Actually, having two undriven cars and multiple large tool chests also helps keep it cool in there.

Scott, nice addition. My parents just got a Mitsubishi/Carrier unit for their glassed-in lanai. They run it between 75-77 and it's great! I'm sure it's a game changer in your garage, congrats!

Thanks for sharing, Scott. We are having a house built in Alabama and we are doing spray foam, garage included.
I'm going to do the same thing and an insulated door.

I wish I supported both Snap On and BCM more often. Two of the best companies in their respective fields. Another cool WI company is Midwest Industries (Waukesha, WI).

Very nice! Sometimes I "forget to close the door to the house" so the AC comes into the garage

Nice addition... I'm going to have to think about doing the same.
