Re: Survivor - Gorgeous C2
Looks like no A/C, power brakes, or power steering. It's purty but not a comfy driver I would guess.

Very nice. I'll take it in red, white, or black. Loving the old vettes lately. Ron, you need something like that. Something more your age JK
2017, we will see 1997 C5's qualify as "collector" cars and have collector plates in WI. I still look at the C5 as a newer Vette. Guess that will happen when C4-C5's spanned 20 model years.

Cold. True but cold.......
Always wanted an old "muscle" vert, but somehow I keep gravitating to the new stuff....
One day I guess.

Very nice car. Not sure it can be considered a survivor with a repaint though.

Its hard to get away from the power, driveability, efficiency, and dependability of the newer cars. I got out of the older cars back in 2002 when I sold my 70 Camaro SS that I owned for 12 years for a 00 SS and haven't gone back. I now drive a 10 sec et capable sedan that I can drive anywhere in comfort and still get better milage than the 70 did that only ran low 13's.

Was Saddle Tan a stock color choice for the `Vette in 1964.. and how about those wheels. Absolutely beautiful package.

Me too, I prefer to turn the key and go. I loved it when the real-time tire pressure sensors came out in the 90's. All I would do is wash, check fluids, gas, go, and repeat.
With that being said, I would bet in 100 years this C2 will be easier to work on than Ron's C7 Z06. Can you imagine replacing, BCM's, PCM's, and all the other electronics/sensors in 50-100 years.
