Perfect for the "Hernandez Polisher", if you don't have pneumatic

I don't see the DA backing plates for these on Buff Daddy

Does anyone know what price he is selling them for?

I know Art cut down a Lake Country 2 7/8" DA BP and is using it with a GG3

I'd love to have a LC rotary BP to use these on my PE for surgical precision.

I understand what the appropriate BP is for the Rupes.

    As seen in action here,

    2" Foam Pads

Nick gave me some new pads from Lake Country to test out, these are production units, not prototypes.

Here's Mr. Robert DiTerrlizzi buffing the swirls and scratches out of the spear on the hood. The small diameter 2" pads were perfect for getting into this tight, thin panel.

Here's Robert CAREFULLY removing the swirls and scratches off of the top of the raised body line. Normally you don't want to buff on a raised body line but the swirls were so obvious on what is actually a large, rounded body line that in order to make the paint match the rest of the hood it had to be machine buffed.

The small footprint and the lightweight, compact size of the Rupes TA50 Sander makes holding the tool with one hand while buffing a cinch.

Here's Robert getting the panel just in front of the windshield...

John, from FloridaSportsman.com gave the new pads a test drive....

Re: Lake Country Hydro Tech 2x1/2" pads

I have the Harbor Freight 2" random orbital sander. It works great and cost 24 dollars WITHOUT the 20% discount ! Dont waste your money on the 300$+ Rupes, especially considering that you will be using the tool outside of its designed limits with foam pads instead of sanding papers.

Considering you will be overloading the tool, I would suggest you add an in line lubricator to your air supply.

again, there are MANY options for true backing plates designed for 2" random orbital sanders in the automotive and construction market. just do a google search. if the thread size isn't right add a bushing or reducer.
