Maybe it looks better because you are telling yourself it does because you put in all that extra work and effort and psychcologically your brain is saying "HOLY SMOKES THAT EXTRA EFFORT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT, THIS LOOKS INCREDIBLE, THIS BABY IS LOADED WITH EXTRA COATS!".

This is a real dilemma, I myself have been subject to the "cerebral" affects of layering!

BUT, after talking to the DG chemist I do buy into this product being layerable but as stated before I'd stick with something with ZERO CLEANERS if I were to layer.

Maybe this explains why the Zaino cult swears that 15 coats looks better.

Anything after 12 seems excessive to me. After all, it's going to get 6 or 7 coats of Souveran on top of that, right?

In almost all cases, one coat is simply enough of a wax or sealant.

    I agree.

Although, there have been instances where I've went a bit overboard - I was doing it for theraputic value instead of for enhanced aesthetic value....

I will put a coat of sealant followed by a coat of nuba but it will stop there.

Yes I have. Just apply on the whole vehicle and leave it on, do not buff off. Go back with #105 on top of it, let set for about an hour and buff of with MF.
    Here is a pick of a truck I did with #101, #601 and #105.
