IME There comes a point of diminishing return. I think the carpro mitt and the similar one sided mitt shown here are about as plush as I would ever want. if if the car is really dirty I use a traditional sheepkin small mitt like Nick has shown for comparison. The small mitt flush's dirt and debris MUCH better then the super plush ones. Just take a look deep in the pile before and after using your grit gaurd.

Another issue is how much wasted solution you can use up with a huge mitt. I once had the bigger dodo juice mitt and was able to blow through a 5 gallon bucket in less than half the car with my washing technique.

I would suggest you buy one of whichever you like and test it out first with this in mind before you go all in on your decision.
