These (thin) pads were designed with the traditional DA polisher in mind - ie: PC 7424xp, Megs G110v2, etc.
Since the XC3401 is a direct-drive tool (forced rotation), pad thickness doesn't matter, so I would recommend sticking with the regular LC purple wool pads. The power and heat created by the 3401 will significantly reduce the lifespan of a thin wool pad.
Nick,
I think the LC tin wool pads would do grat on the Rupes Duetto as well. What do you think?

I apologize to those who had issues with this product.
I sent PM's to all who have expressed premature failure with these pads. We did have a bonding issue, which has since been corrected and upgraded. We have upgraded our bond on the regular purple foamed wool also.
I really love these pads and I am happy that the issue is resolved!
If you have had an issue please PM me or email @ David.Patterson@LakeCountryMfg.com
Please include an estimate purchase date and photos.

When you look up great customer service in the dictionary, Lake Country Mfg is listed near the top of the list. Thank you David for reaching out to me and everyone else in this thread - you guys are tops.

David - Your PM box is full. I was the first one to report issues in this thread back on 7/29 of last year and haven't seen a PM from you.
Autogeek was outstanding, as always, and replaced the pads but the replacements also failed in short order. I threw them out and moved on.
