Re: Pinnacle Waterless the New Champion?

Great Product! I got the concentrate on a BOGO and love it. I never had any problem with streaking. I'm using Pinnacle Rinseless to complement the Waterless. Great Combo.

Great..I just ordered a gallon. If it sucks, I'll let everyone know because I like to complain and be a pain in the a$$.
No, really though, it's required to be great--it's Pinnacle. They are the humble king of wax here. Ever notice they don't sell a sealant?
Maybe there's too much nuba in it, which streaked Allen's windows. It'll be here any day. I'll use it before UPS starts the truck back up, and I'll give a response.

Re: Pinnacle Waterless the New Champion?

I hope you like it and have better results than I have had

Art Hernandez actually gave it to me and since it was free, for some reason I keep giving it another chance

IMO, the slight amount of protection the carnauba may give is far outweighed by the issues with the glass. The dark tint and large expanses of glass on my SUV make the streaking really stand out

The product completely obliterated then beading I was seeing with the NXT spray wax, which is underneath it (picture prev posted)

I have had much better results with ONR, Pinnacle Rinseless and D114 used in a water less wash technique

Re: Pinnacle Waterless the New Champion?

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I've used it on top of 845 and never noticed it reducing the beading, but I have had issues with the streaking.

I originally purchased it to be used as a quick touch up when the car was a little dusty in the warmer months or as a "follow up" product to a touchless wash in the winter. Using it in the winter was a bad idea as the remaining salt grime on the car created all sorts of marring and it streaks really bad in cold (20~40F) temps. It appears to be more manageable in warmer weather, but I was never impressed by the results. Rather than having a better shine when I was done, the finish almost seemed duller...even after buffing. The experience has led me to abandon the whole waterless wash idea. I've just gone back to traditional washing.

Re: Pinnacle Waterless the New Champion?

I have used Pinnacle waterless and rinseless extensively and find it to be the best overall combo out there. As for those that that says it smears on windows, it can a tiny bit - but just requires a buff with a clean towel - as do most products with any additional protection.

I haven't had any issues with these products affecting beading negatively, but I'm using them with waxed cars. I see this as a coating issue, as it seems some coating manufacturers want you to use special soaps & QD etc... because they can affect the coating. Which to me, is another reason why coatings can be a PIA, because while supposedly being so "tough"; their hydrophobicity is impacted by a waterless/rinseless wash.

This is the beading I get.

Re: Pinnacle Waterless the New Champion?

I am not a fan of waterless spray and wipe washing. I only do rinseless as i'm much more comfortable with it (using UWW+). Pressure washer rinse + rinseless wash can get me through just about any condition of dirt and only adds maybe 10 mins to the process.

but out of the many I have tried I really do think that this product is the most effective (chemical wise along with good technique) for washing a lightly dirty car without scratching with the spray and wipe method :

Meguiars Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere, waterless wash

I have yet to confirm if the detailers line waterless is the same makeup. does anyone know for sure ? at sema the entire meguiars team was using the OTC product. Truth is neither are cost effective.
