Will 5.5" LC CCS Pads Fit on 5" Backing Plate

The heading pretty much sums it up... I am looking to order some pads on here, specifically a six-pack of Lake Country CCS 5.5" Pads for my PC. There is a 5" backing plate, and I prefer to get some feedback from all of you on fitment before I spend $40 on pads which may be too small...

    Thanks in advance!!

I dont use CCS pads, I have hydro techs but I run the 5.5" in pads on my 5" backing plate no problem. Actually they might even be 5.25" Im not sure.

    Yes.

Click on the link below and I included high resolution pictures answering your questions.

Here's 5" backing plates on 5.5" pads to show how they fit. Shown are the Meguiar's W67DA and the Edge DA 500 on 5.5" Hydro-Tech pads and 5.5" CCS pads

In the Gtechniq EXO video, I hold 5.5" pad and show Trista how to align and attach it to a 5" backing plate at some point in the video.

Remember to mark your backing plate... by the way, that's a 5.5" Hydro-Tech on a 5.5" backing plate in the picture below.

Video: Mark your backing plate to make it easy to see pad rotation

Here's a quick video that show how and why to mark your backing plate to see and monitor pad rotation while doing any correction or polishing steps.

It's also important to maintain pad rotation with PC style tools when using a one-step cleaner/wax or AIO type product on neglected paint.

It's not vital to maintain pad rotating when applying a finishing wax or finishing paint sealant to a finish that you've just buffed out.

Doh, Ive been putting that line on the side of the pads, backing plate makes much more sense.

The 5.5" pads are perfect for the 5" plate. Just a suggestion I'd opt for either the hydro tech pads or the flat pads instead of the CCS pads. I feel they finish better and absorb less product. First choice is HT and a close second is the Flat FWIW. the hydro tech pads are more $$$ but I feel they are worth it.

    5.5" pads will be a perfect match for a 5" b/plate.

I usually use a smaller bp than the pad.
