Part of my leather seat is Ultrasuede.

    Thanks in advance.

LeatherMasters has a product, look to the Nubuck products for help with suede.

So when i apply DG 221 to a customer's vehicle's leather, I am just applying a product that gives the leather more shine? Should I just use 303 on the leather instead just like i would the vehicle's interior vinyl?

DG 221 smells great btw. smells like fresh leather

Yes, I use it on my fake suede (Alcantara) with out issue. Leather Master's is all I use on my seats and shoes (I have a pair of "vintage" Timberland boots I bought back in '98) and LM keeps both my coated seats like new (along with Opt dressing) and my old School Timbo's in like new shape.

I would choose Optimum Leather Protectant over 303 due to sent. Both looked similar on my interior but Opt didn't streak and smelled better and it's cheaper.

Reading the description of DG 221, with mink oil, etc., you are probably doing nothing but wiping it on and wiping it off of coated leather. Few of these manufacturers are willing to tell you the truth. Most of this stuff just doesn't work on coated leather. I've tried a variety of leather conditioners and the only one that I have found so far that actually makes my coated leather feel more supple is LeatherMaster's Leather Vital. BTW, their product description does indeed indicate that it is formulated for protected (coated) leathers.

Re: How do I take care of new car leather interior?

I have been wondering about the best cleaner/protectant system for older (2005) Acura leather. I've been using Opt power clean to clean the seats (at the 3:1 dilution), then applying Lexol. But, I saw in a post above said that Acura recommends water based protectants for leather seats. Does anyone know if Lexol is oil-based?

And, could anyone recommend a good leather cleaner and protectant specifically for my older Acura? I don't know if it's just me, but the Opt power clean (diluted 3:1) is a bit harsh and leaves my seats a bit sticky somehow. I have to say, IMO, the seats in my 2005 TL are just crappy leather. I rode with a friend in her 2011 TL, and I'm happy to see that they have improved the quality of the leather seats. But what can I do about mine, I wonder?

    Hi guys

Many many thank to your valuable information ,Apply a leather protecting cream every three months, after a thorough cleaning and conditioning. Use a cleaning product made specifically for leather surfaces. Other cleaners can dry and crack your upholstery.

    Nice to meet you
