Re: turtle wax " black box "
I remember all those colored waxes from the 90's ... forgive me but I dont think colored waxes do much other than hide the white residue in cracks from over application at least initially until they dry out and then likely still take on the white appearance.

ive used a turtle wax blue product in the past that killed the flake on the color it was designed to be used on...

Never heard of it. Sounds very limiting for an over-the-counter wax....only for black cars. I am curious of the price although many OTC products never really impress me.

Re: turtle wax " black box "
I actally have some sitting here called "Turtle Wax Color Magic" which came with a "Chipstick". It is black as night and the only thing it really did for me like Killer said was fill some cracks that had white residue left in them. However, i have been tempted to use it on my front bumper from all of the tiny nicks from rocks on the interstate and it does help out a bunch.
But sense i have used menzerna polishes and Pinnacle Waxes, i kinda feel like im cheating myself if i dont use them. I feel that if you can polish and wax a car to a brilliant shine, then the tiny stone chips or scratches will be nearly invisible to the eye.

I picked up the "Black Box" for $19.99 at Autozone, I will give it a whirl on my Tahoe and let you know the results.
I can't imagine it being that great, but I have seen some very positive reviews on other forums... We shall see...

Re: turtle wax " black box "
Most of those products are better for single stage paints, that they hide and fill swirls etc....With clear coated paints, they cannot do anything IMO because it is like applying it on a clear window..It will mute whatever is under that(flakes etc).i tried o few of them on my car but i wasn't happy at all with the results...
