    Does anyone else think it is strange that a flat surface on a round surface has LESS points of contacts that same flat surface with some slices cut into it (assuming same amount of pressure as to not distort the pad)??

    I am sure they will. It seems they make the 6.5 first, then go into the smaller sizes. It is what lake country did with there ccs pads

    I think you answered your own question (sort of)... with the same amount of pressure the grooved surface will distort more.

    Does the velcro backing go to the edge? I really like a little gap btwn the velcro and outer edge of the pad.
